WORSHIP GUIDE

Call To Worship

But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ—by grace you have been saved— and raised us up with him and seated us with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, so that in the coming ages he might show the immeasurable riches of his grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. (Ephesians 2:4–7)

Song

How long O LORD will You forget me?

How long will You hide your face from me?

All my courage has now turned to doubt.

Bucket once filled with strength

Has completely dried out.

Fear reigns mighty in a once trusting heart.

All my days I drink sorrow and shout:

The shield of my help,

And the sword of my triumph!

Do not be far off! Come quick to my aid!

Deliver my soul from the mouth of the lion!

My legs and faith are faint.

How long O LORD will You forget me?

How long will foes exalt over me?

At the dawn of the day my heart throbs:

“This unbearable lot!

You’ve rejected me God.”

Battle wages within and without

Adversary is prowling about.

The shield of my help,

And the sword of my triumph!

Do not be far off! Come quick to my aid!

Deliver my soul from the mouth of the lion!

My legs and faith are faint.

Song

Though the nations rage,

kingdoms rise and fall

There is still one King reigning over all

So I will not fear for this truth remains

That my God is, the Ancient of Days

None above Him, none before Him

All of time in His hands

For His throne it shall remain and ever stand

All the power, all the glory

I will trust in His name

For my God is the Ancient of Days

Though the dread of night

overwhelms my soul

He is here with me, I am not alone

O His love is sure, and He knows my name

For my God is, the Ancient of Days

None above Him, none before Him

All of time in His hands

For His throne it shall remain and ever stand

All the power, all the glory

I will trust in His name

For my God is, the Ancient of Days

Though I may not see what the future brings

I will watch and wait for the Saviour King

Then my joy complete standing face to face

In the presence of the Ancient of Days

None above Him, none before Him

All of time in His hands

For His throne it shall remain and ever stand

All the power, all the glory

I will trust in His name

For my God is, the Ancient of Days

For my God is, the Ancient of Days

Sermon - Psalm 13

To the choirmaster. A Psalm of David.

[1] How long, O LORD? Will you forget me forever?
How long will you hide your face from me?
[2] How long must I take counsel in my soul
and have sorrow in my heart all the day?
How long shall my enemy be exalted over me?

    [3] Consider and answer me, O LORD my God;
light up my eyes, lest I sleep the sleep of death,
[4] lest my enemy say, “I have prevailed over him,”
lest my foes rejoice because I am shaken.

    [5] But I have trusted in your steadfast love;
my heart shall rejoice in your salvation.
[6] I will sing to the LORD,
because he has dealt bountifully with me.
